De-Escalation Techniques For Student Behavior Problems

This course supports ABE teachers, managers, and volunteers in understanding the conflict cycle, the function of problem behaviors, and the stages of behavior escalation. Participants will gain practical de-escalation skills, strategies for resolving conflict with students, and access to essential mental health resources.

This course is intended to address the re-licensure area for Positive Behavioral Intervention Strategies.
