Distance Learning 102: Instructional Issues

DL 102 is an online course that begins with an in-person half day cohort kickoff. Distance or blended learning teachers who have some DL experience will spend several weeks focusing on how to best support learners and/or improve their practices around DL and blended or hybrid learning. Each participant develops a case study describing an instructional or programmatic challenge. Together the cohort discusses each of the case studies, building a “community of practice” that remains available as a resource after the course is done. Through the discussion, each participant arrives at a few ideas to pilot and implement. After a month (or more) of piloting, each participant reports on their progress, successes, and challenges in a webinar.
