Teaching ABE Students About Mental Health

This course will help ABE teachers and volunteers understand the importance of teaching students about mental health. Mental health is an important part of overall health and can impact student learning. Mental health problems are common and are caused by a variety of factors. Teaching students about mental health can help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health problems and encourage them to seek help when needed. Learning about ways to improve mental health can help students stay mentally well.

This course is intended to address the re-licensure area for Understanding Key Warning Signs of Early Onset Mental Illness in Adolescents and Adults.
